{setting up my booth}
Yesterday was the with heart handmade market. All those hours of preparation were well worth it! Warning... picture overload on it's way!
The road was closed off for us and the vendors lined the street with all of our handmade goodies.
I ordered a square and was able to take credit or debit cards! Speaking as some one who never has cash... this is the best thing ever.
Steven came along and helped me set up the tent that I borrowed from a friend, and snapped some photos of me setting up. My mom requested lots of pictures. :)
Here is my booth all set up! I had planned on hanging the huge frame with the greeting cards from the 'ceiling' of the tent, but it was too breezy. I didn't want anyone getting whacked in the head.
All my hair pins! The small flower hair pins were the most popular, followed closely by the ruffle rosette pins. I wore a teal ruffle rosette in my hair. :)
My journals! I had some new papers and designs made up for the market.
Note cards and greeting cards. Everyone really liked the white washi tape note cards. My favorites are the bunting greetings cards.
One last shot of the booth, and a close-up of the bunting. :) I'm going to hang the bunting somewhere in the house now - I just love it!
I would call it a success! I don't think I would change much if I did another one - which I hope to do! I do wish the organizers of the market had advertised a little more. A lot of people had no clue it was going on, including the starbucks across the street! We should have laid some flyers on the counter first thing in the morning.
Thanks to everyone who gave me tips while I was preparing, and to the friends who came to see me! I really appreciate your support. :)
If you weren't able to come to the market and you see something you like, email me {cjanecreate @ gmail dot com} and I'll let you know if it's still available! {the etsy shop is on vacation while I reorganize and restock!}
xoxo, christa
